This Fried Idli is the best snack which can be had in breakfast or dinner. If you have leftover Idli's then you can make them easily. This are very crispy from outside and soft from inside, which tastes awesome when served with Sambhar and Coconut Chutney.

This Fried Idli is the best snack which can be had in breakfast or dinner. If you have leftover Idli's then you can make them easily. This are very crispy from outside and soft from inside, which tastes awesome when served with Sambhar and Coconut Chutney.

Grease the Idli plates, pour the batter and steam and cook the Idli for about 8 to 10 mins or till you get tooth pick or knife clean when inserted. Remove Idli's and keep aside for 6 to 7 hours. If you have leftover Idli's then you can use them for frying.

Heat up the oil in kadhai on high flame. Once oil is heated properly, lower the flame and deep fry Idlis on low to medium flame till they turn golden brown. Remove on paper napkin. Deep fry all the Idli's.

Serve hot with Sambhar and chilled Coconut Chutney. These fried Idli's can be served hot or cold depending upon your taste. It tastes awesome both ways.
