Cooking Instructions
- 1
In a bowl add yeast, salt, 2 tsp sugar and 1/4 cup lukewarm milk. Mix, cover and set aside for 15 minutes.
- 2
After 15 minutes if bubbles appear in the mixture then you can use it for the dough.
- 3
Then in a big bowl add all the ingredients and make a dough. Dough should be a little sticky. Cover and let rise for about 2 hours
- 4
After 2 hours or so, the dough will rise into double. Use a little oil on hands and some flour to remove the dough on your working shelf. Cut into half.
- 5
Then roll the dough into 1/2 inch thickness and cut out shapes of your choice.
- 6
Now put them in a tray, cover and let rise for about 20-30 mins or until double again.
- 7
When doughnuts have risen, deep fry in a wok on medium flame from both side until desired colour.
- 8
Let the doughnuts to cool for about 15 minutes. Decorate with the glaze of your choice and serve warm or refrigerate for later.
- 9
Serve as you like.

Glazed Doughnuts (Yeast Doughnuts) Glazed Doughnuts (Yeast Doughnuts)
I have attempted so many bread type doughnut recipes. I took the best ingredient ratios, mixing then adding to pan, then coating, from several recipes.Try to use new oil to fry these! You can substitute the egg with milk, but they will begin hardening the next day.If the dough contains too much moisture, it will evaporate when fried and they will wither when taken out of the oil. So please control the amount of moisture in the dough. I increased the amount of butter to give it a richer taste. For 8 doughnuts. Recipe by narimi mama cookpad.japan
