Striving to reduce food wastage, lead me to creating these beautiful and delicious upma balls.
Had some rava upma left from breakfast, which I didn't feel like having again, and hence, I decided to make these crispy rava balls, that can be the perfect accompaniment to a cup of hot chai in the evening.

Leftover Rava Upma Balls

Ingredients

1/2 servings
  1. 1 cupleftover upma
  2. 50 gramprocessed cheese
  3. as neededOil to deep fry
  4. as neededGreen chilli chutney: to serve with

Cooking Instructions

    Take your leftover upma and using a fork, mash it properly.

    Then put some oil on your palms and take some of the upma mixture.

  3. 3

    Make a laddoo with the upma and then make a small cavity.

  4. 4

    Add a small cube of processed cheese in the cavity. You can also use mozzarella cheese, if you like.

    Make balls with all the upma and keep it in the refrigerator for 5-10 mins.

    In the meantime, heat oil in a pan.

    Take the upma balls out of the refrigerator, and add them to hot oil. Fry till golden brown.

    Serve immediately with green chilli chutney.

Sir, I also tried it, but it was full of oil. So how to prevent it..
