Ingredients

  1. For dough-
  2. 2 cups wheat flour
  3. 1/2 spoonSalt
  4. 1/2carom seeds
  5. 4 spoonsoil
  6. Forstuffing -
  7. 500 grams boiled and mashed potatoes
  8. 1/2 cupboiled peas
  9. 2 spoonsoil
  10. 1/2 spooncumin
  11. 1 spoongreen chilli paste
  12. 1/2 tspmustard seeds
  13. 1 spoongrated ginger
  14. 1/2 spooncoriander powder
  15. 1/2 spoonamchur powder
  16. 1/4 tspgaram masala powder
  17. 1/2 spoonTurmeric powder
  18. as per tasteSalt
  19. 2 spoonscoriander leaves
  20. as requiredOil for frying

Cooking Instructions

    In a mixing bowl put wheat flour, Salt, carom seeds and 4 spoons oil.

    Mix it well to make a crumble mixture. Now add little water and knead it into a tight dough. keep aside for 30 minutes.

    Heat 2 spoons oil, add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, grated ginger and green chilli paste and sauté for 20 seconds.

    Now add all spices, mashed potatoes and boiled peas, mix it well.

    Saute for 5 minutes then add chopped coriander leaves and mix well.

    Now shaping the samosa, make 5" diameter circle with dough and cut into two halves.

    Take one semi-circle and join two corners of a straight line to form a cone and place 2 spoons stuffing in the cone and apply water at the edges to seal it.

    Heat oil in a pan and fry these samosa on medium heat.

    Serve hot with chutney or sauce.
