Ingredients

  1. 3 CupsGrated Carrot
  2. 2 CupsSugar
  3. 1 TbspButter
  4. 1 1/2 CupMilk
  5. 1/4 CupKhoya
  6. 1 TspCardamom Powder
  7. As neededAssorted Dry Nuts (Almonds,Raisins,Pistachios)

Cooking Instructions

    Heat up a kadhai,add grated carrot and milk in it and let it cook for 10-15 minutes.

    After 10 minutes open the lid,add some more milk if required,add sugar and let it cook till carrots becomes soft.

    Add chopped dry nuts and cardamom powder at the same time so that they will be softer.

    Once the halwa is cooked well then add butter or ghee mix it well and cook halwa for 3-4 more minutes.

    Gajar halwa is ready.Now heat up a pan,add khoya and cook it for 2 minutes.

    Now take carrot halwa in a glass add one layer of khoya on it and put one more layer of halwa and serve hot.

    Garnish with chopped dryfruits.
