Ingredients

  1. 3 pieceswhole fresh fish
  2. 3 tspsalt
  3. 1 tspturmeric powder
  4. 1 tspblack pepper powder
  5. 1 tspginger powder
  6. 1 tspgarlic powder
  7. oil for deep frying

Cooking Instructions

    Descale the fish and remove the intestines. Clean under running water till the water is clear.

    Make incisions on the fish as shown.

    Make your fry rub by mixing the turmeric, ginger powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper.

    Apply the rub generously on the fish. Set them aside and let sit for at least 15 minutes, under room temperature.

    Heat oil,enough to submerge the fish pieces, in a frying pan, until smokey. Slide the fish gently into the oil an allow to cook for 5 - 7 minutes before you flip the other side.
