I whip up flat bread pizza when I need a tasty quick and easy meal for the family. It's a twist on my standard flatbread recipe, and makes a fab quick pizza base. Simply add whatever toppings you fancy. I've also included my recipes for two really quick and easy pizza sauces.

Cooking Instructions

20 mins
  1. 1

Add all the dough ingredients to a bowl apart from the water and bring together until it clumps into a loose ball. If you feel the dough is dry add in the water little by little until it's a good consistency - not really sticky, and then bring the dough together until no pieces are falling away. Cover the bowl in cling film and leave at room temperature until you want to cook it.

  2. 2

Here you can either make the dough into one large pizza or two smaller ones by dividing into two halves. When ready to cook it, simply dust your work surface with flour then knead for a couple of minutes until a smooth ball is formed then roll out until flat to around 2-3 mm thick. Shape into a neat circle(s).

  3. 3

Preheat your oven to 220 (fan). Line 1-2 large baking trays (depending on if you're making 1 or 2 pizzas), with some greaseproof paper. Place your dough on top of the tray and then add your pizza sauce then your chosen toppings and brush the crust(s) with olive oil. Bake on the top shelf for 10-12 minutes until cooked through and the crust is beautifully crisp and slightly risen. Leave to cool for a couple of minutes then eat and enjoy! :)

Love that you using baking soda rather than yeast so no messing around with waiting for the dough. Looks so yummy too 🍕
