Ingredients

  1. 1 cuppeas
  2. 100 gramscottage cheese (paneer)
  3. 4 tbspoil
  4. 2 tbsponion paste
  5. 1 tbspginger garlic paste
  6. 1 tspturmeric powder
  7. 1 tspred chilli powder
  8. 1 tbspcoriander powder
  9. 1 tbspkadahi masala
  10. 1 tspgaram masala
  11. 1/2 cuptomato puree
  12. 1/4 cupyogurt
  13. 1 tspkasuri methi
  14. 4cloves
  15. 1green cardemom
  16. to taste Salt

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Heat oil in a kadai/wok.Add cardamom and cloves.When splatter add onion paste and saute for 1 minute.Add ginger garlic paste with 1 tbsp water and saute on low flame for 2 minutes.

    Add all powdered spices except kadai masala and garam masala.Saute for 1 minute.

    Add tomato puree and salt,add 1/2 cup water.Cover the lid and cook for 5 minutes on medium flame.

    Add peas,mix well Add yogurt and mix again.Add 1 cup water and cook till peas are 80%cooked.

    Now add garam masala,mix.Add paneer cubes.Add 1/4cup water,cover and cook for 2-3minutes on low -medium flame.

    Adjust consistency of gravy and add kadai masala with kasuri methi.Mix with gentle strokes.

    Put off flame.Mater paneer kadai masala is ready to serve.

    Serve with parathas/roti/naan/rice.Happy cooking
