Milk poppy seeds braids

A simple and delicious dough great for children's snacks too. When trying this recipe, depending on the weather condition, as with any yeasted dough, the raising times may change.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Place the water, milk, sugar and vegetable oil in a jug and warm up to a lukewarm temperature. Add the yeast and leave for about 10 minutes to activate. In a bowl, combine your flour with the salt and slowly add the yeast mixture. Once well combined, move to the worktop and knead to absorb all flour and form a smooth ball. Oil lightly your bowl and replace the dough to raise for a minimum of 30 minutes or until double in size.
- 2
Once the dough has raised, divide in 10 parts and shape as in picture. Place on lined baking trays and let rise for a second time. Pre-heat your oven at 210 C. Once the braids rested for 30 minutes, wash with milk and sprinkle with poppy seeds. Bake until nice and golden and they sound hollow if tapping their bottom.
