Pannenkoek (Dutch Pancakes)

I remember as a lad of about 10 or 11 visiting my Sister who lived in Holland and going to the local pancake house. I was amazed to see many various fillings to choose from. I always opted for the Ham & Cheese.
So it’s a little different from our pancake day, but tasty nevertheless.

Mini Dutch Baby Pancakes Mini Dutch Baby Pancakes
I've been wanting to attempt to make a Dutch baby (also known as a German pancake) for awhile now...but they are traditionally made in a cast iron skillet and I don't have one. But I came across this recipe on Pinterest and had to try it out! Traditionally they are served dusted with confectioners sugar, but you can also serve with maple syrup, Nutella, fresh fruit or a fruit compote. You can also make up the batter the night before, then place in a bowl, cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight, to make it even easier on yourself in the morning. Inspired by the 10-won (10-yen) pancake, I tried making this based on my imagination. I recently saw a large, bill-shaped Imagawa-yaki with stretchy cheese on social media and wanted to try it. Since I've never actually eaten one, I guessed at the flavor. SHINOKO77Translated from Cookpad Japan -
Ube Pancakes Ube Pancakes
Ube is Filipino purple yam 🍠. My local Asian supermarket sells an ube pancake mix that flies off the shelves whenever it becomes available. I’ve gotten to try it exactly once, and really enjoyed it! It was a ✨stupendous✨ hit with my 4 year old daughter (PURPLE PANCAKES?!? WHAT?!?) 🤩Since I couldn’t reliably buy the mix, I found a recipe online. The Asian supermarket sold the critical ingredients, so I whipped up this purple breakfast feast! This recipe was modified from The Little Epicurean.#Breakfast #Brunch #Masarap #Kids #Sweet Chris Gan -
