Ingredients

20 minutes
3 to 4 serving
  1. 1 cup: Basmati rice
  2. 1 cup: jaggery crushed
  3. 1/2 cup: milk
  4. 2-3: Green cardamoms
  5. 15-20: almonds
  6. 1/4 cup: coconut chunks
  7. 15-20: pistachio
  8. 1 tbspn: fennel seeds
  9. 1 tbspn: oil

Cooking Instructions

    Soak rice for 20 to 30 minutes and then boil and strain the water and keep aside

  2. 2

    In a pot add milk and jaggery and cook until jaggery melts and set aside

  3. 3

    In a pot add oil and add green cardamom, fennel seeds and mix well

  4. 4

    Add almonds, pistachio and coconut chunks into it and saute for few minutes

  5. 5

    Now add melted jaggery and milk mixture into it and mix well

  6. 6

    Add boiled rice into it, mix gently and cook until liquid dries up

  7. 7

    Steam cook on low flame for few minutes. Jaggery rice ready to be served, garnish with nuts
