Ingredients

  1. 200 gramurad dal
  2. 25 gramrice
  3. as per taste Salt
  4. 1/2 teaspooncumin seeds
  5. as requiredOil for frying
  6. 1/4 teaspoonasafoetida
  7. as neededWater
  8. 1 litredahi
  9. as per taste sugar
  10. as requiredCoriander chutney
  11. as required Sweet chutney
  12. as requiredSweet chutney
  13. as requiredDates chutney
  14. as required Dahi vada masala

Cooking Instructions

    First wash urad dal and rice properly. Soak it for 5-6 hours.
    Take a mixer grinder and grind it into a fine paste.
    Rest it for 30 minutes
    To make dahi vada masala

    Take a pan heat oil. Now add cumin seeds, salt and asafoetida in the batter. Mix it until it’s white.
    Now take a portion of it and add it in hot oil. After the vada has been golden brown, take it out from hot oil

    Then add in the vadas in water and let it soak for 2 hours or till the vada is soft.
    Now after the vada is soft, remove it out from water and drain out the excess water. Then let it cool in refrigerator.

    Then to make dahi vada, take vada in a plate and add in some dahi, coriander chutney, date chutney, tamarind chutney, sev, and sprinkle some dahi vada masala and decorate it with some coriander.
    Your dahi vada is ready to be served
