Ingredients

  1. 6bread slice (white / brown)
  2. 4medium potato
  3. 1/2 tspLess than mustard seeds
  4. 1-2 tbspoil,
  5. as per taste salt
  6. 1 tbsp butter
  7. 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  8. 2slit green chilli
  9. as required Sandwich maker / tawa

Cooking Instructions

    Cut potato into small small cubes

    In moderately heated pan, add oil, add mustard seeds, let them crackle and then add potato cube and stir fry by add salt + turmeric + green chilli. Stir fry for 4-5 minutes.

    Now sprinkle around 1/4 cup water, mix well, cover and cook for 3-4 minutes till potato turns soft.

    Remove cover and sauté for 2-3 minutes till water (if any) evaporates. Filling is ready and discard chillies.

    Apply butter on any one side of bread slices, then evenly spread the potato filling on the unbuttered side.

    Place another slice keeping the buttered side outside and press gently and its ready to go to sandwich maker / tawa.
    It takes few minutes in sandwich maker. Toast both sides if using tawa.

    Cut diagonally. Now sandwich is ready to go to lunch box, pair with tomato ketchup and with any fruits for a complete and healthy lunch.
