Ramadan Special Aloo Ke Bhajiye

#SC2
#cookpadindia
Hyderabadi famous Iftaar item or snack that's equally popular amongst all. These Aloo ke Bhajiye are the perfect melt-in-mouth goodies served at Iftaar meals. It's a must-have for Iftaar for many people in the City.
Potato slices coated in luscious Gram Flour batter and then deep-fried to perfection for that crisp and crunchy texture on the outside and soft Potato slices on the inside.
Serve them alongside any Dip or Chutney of your choice.
The Potatoes can be thinly sliced or given an oblong shape depending on one's own choice. The shape of the Potatoes also matters here. If they are round, we get nice round shapes and if they are long and not perfectly round, then an oblong shape is the right choice. Whatever may be the shape, the taste and texture are what matter the most.
Come Ramadan and all the big and the small roadside Eateries and Cafes are loaded with these Bhajiye. These are sold like hotcakes. That's the craze of these Bhajiye or Fritters or Pakoras.
Enjoy Cooking with Zeen!

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Make a smooth semi-thick yet fluffy and a smooth batter with all the ingredients mentioned. Mix well and keep aside for a good 20 to 30 minutes or so. This is a must. I didn't use Baking soda here. The standing time given is enough for fluffy and soft Bhajiye.
- 2
Deep fry in hot oil on medium-high heat dipping each slice in the batter. See to it that they are coated well with the batter. Cook until golden brown and done. Serve them piping hot with any Chutney of your choice. I have served them with Mint Yogurt Chutney and Raw Mango Chutney with a dash of extra Chat Masala sprinkled on top.

Enjoy these lip-smacking Aloo Bhajiye at Iftaar meals. They taste great. No Iftaar is complete without them. Yum!

Aloo laccha pakoras Aloo laccha pakoras
Pakoras are a must for iftar during Ramadan. It’s as if their crunch and warmth must accompany steaming cups of chai. Throw in hot samosas for added comfort. Nostalgic! How I miss these goodies from home!Pakoras are flavour-packed fritters that are light and airy. The base component of all pakoras is gram flour, onion, cilantro, spices. You can make pakoras with all kinds of vegetables, as long as they’re small enough to cook through and large enough to hold to the batter. Vegetables like spinach, eggplant, and potatoes are also added. Of course all these pakoras are named after the vegetable used for instance palak pakora refers to spinach pakora, baigain pakora to eggplant pakora and aloo pakora to potato pakora.Aloo laccha pakoras are made with potato, besan, rice flour, and regular spices. They are crispy from the outside while soft from the inside. “Laccha” basically refers to a lattice as the grated potatoes and sliced onions combined with the flours form a sort of lattice when scooped. Ensure the oil temperature is high when adding pakoras, then reduce to medium heat for the perfect crispy texture. With their crispy texture and flavourful spices, these pakoras are sure to become a household favourite for iftar because iftar without pakoras is no iftar at all! Banana Cake without Eggs, Butter, or Milk Banana Cake without Eggs, Butter, or Milk
I had the recipe written down in my notes. I rearranged it and made this recipe.Sprinkling sugar on the surface gives the cake a crunchy texture on top of the extra sweetness. It's sweet enough from the banana even with just a small amount of sugar It's delicious to mix raisins into the batter or sprinkle them on the surface. You can substitute whole wheat flour with flour. You can use any kind of sugar instead of brown sugar. Raisins are optional. Recipe by Punmitsumutsu cookpad.japan -
