Today has been extremely lousy and I could not help but quick fix my sweet craving without having to go to the stores.

Happy to have gotten my money’s worth from that ginormous pack of rum chocolates I got with so much excitement only to hate. Now we know I’ll be making this lava cake until those chocolates no longer take-up cabinet space.

Microwave Chocolate Lava Cake

Ingredients

3 minutes
1 serving
  1. 1/4 cupchocolate chips (I just crashed some rum chocolates)
  2. 3 Tbspbutter, leveled
  3. 2 Tbspbrown sugar
  4. 1egg
  5. 2 Tbspflour, leveled

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Butter the sides of a microwave safe mug and set aside

  2. 2

    Melt chocolate and butter in a small microwave safe bowl at 30 second intervals, stirring between each interval until smooth

  3. 3

    Add sugar and egg to the bowl, whisking until completely smooth

  4. 4

    Finally, add flour and mix just until combined and lump-free, but not over mixed

  5. 5

    Transfer batter into the mug and microwave for 1 minute at 700Watts for a molten cake or 2 minutes for a dense well-done chocolate cake. Anything longer than 2 minutes will produce a very dense dry cake

    P.S.:- cake will be very hot right out of the microwave so you can let it stand for a minute or two for comfort eating
