Ingredients

1 hr
6-1 if you are greedy enough
  1. Packetorange jello
  2. 1 tubwhipped cream topping
  3. 1large can of mandarin oranges drained
  4. 1-2Graham cracker pie crust

Cooking Instructions

1 hr
  1. 1

Make orange jello according to instructions

  2. 2

Setting is helped along if poured on ice instead of just cold water after heating

  3. 3

Place bowl of jello in fridge to firm up.

  4. 4

Do not let it reach the solid stage. Take from the fridge when the jello is firm enough to jiggle, but thin enough that scooping with a spoon doesn't leave a hole. Honestly the time varies, so leave it in for at least 10 min, and check again every 5, until it is firm enough

  5. 5

Fold in the tub of whipped topping. If the jello packet was small, then you only need about half a tub.

  6. 6

Don't over stir, but fold until there aren't any recognizable clumps of whipped cream

  7. 7

Fold in the mandarin oranges next

  8. 8

Portion the mixture into 1-2 pie crust. The filling should reach just to the top of the crust

  9. 9

You can decorate it with the best of the mandarin orange slices on top in a spiral pattern

  10. 10

Cover the pie with the appropriate cover and set back in the fridge to firm up, about 30 min

  11. 11

Any leftover filling can be put into small cups, and enjoyed separately later
