A lot many varieties of offerings is made to Bappa like assorted Modaks which is Bappa's favourite, Churma ladoos , Vatli Dal , Puran Polis .Today we will see 1 such Prasadam recipes ie Churma Ladoos.
These ladoos are very healthy as they are not fried but baked & jaggery has been used instead of sugar .

Ingredients

Makes 24 pcs
  1. 2 cupscoarse wheat flour
  2. 2 tbspoon besan
  3. 2 tbspoon sooji (small variety)
  4. 2 tbspoon clarified butter (for moin)
  5. 1 cupclarified butter
  6. 11/4 cupspowdered jaggery
  7. 2tb.spoon golden raisins
  8. 1t.spoon cardamom powder
  9. 1/2t.spoon nutmeg powder
  10. 2t.spoon poppy seeds to sprinkle
  11. 1/2 cup+1 tb spoon warm water

    Assemble all the ingredients.

    Mix clarified butter (2 tb spoon) in the flours to resemble crumbly texture.Add warm water slowly to make a stiff dough.Cover & rest the dough for 20 minutes.

    Crumble the dough & make stiff oval balls from it as shown in the pic below 👇 Make all the oval shaped balls the same way. Bake them on a lined butter paper square mold at 160 c for 20 minutes, turning once in between.

    Cool the oval balls & break them unevenly. Now take the crumbled mixture in a big mixer jar & churn to semi- fine powder. Sieve the powder & grind the balance hard part left in the sieve again to fine powder.

    Take 1 t.spoon. clarified butter in a small pan & fry the raisins. Remove & cut a few to small pieces & leave a few for garnish. Add the raisin pieces in the powdered mixture.

    Heat clarified butter in a pan. Add powdered jaggery in it & let the jaggery melt. Switch off the gas flame immediately. Stir jaggery & clarified butter very well & pour the liquid mixture (jaggery & clarified butter) into the flour mixture & mix with the help of a sorted spoon / spatula. Add cardamom & nutmeg powders. Mix very well.

    Now press little mixture into the mold (ladoo mold) as shown in the picture 👇. Invert the mold on to a plate. Press 1-1 raisin on top of each ladoo. Also sprinkle poppy seeds on the ladoos. Keep 'Durva' also which is Lord Ganesha 's favourite.

    On the Auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi offer the ladoos to Lord Ganesha & receive His Blessings.🙏🌹🌸🙏 Than distribute the Prasadam 🙏 to family, friends & relatives.
