Ingredients

1 9x5" loaf
  1. 1 3/4 cupall purpose flour
  2. 1 cupgranulated sugar
  3. 1/2 cupbrown sugar
  4. 1 tsp.baking soda
  5. 2 tsp.ground cinnamon
  6. 1/4 tsp.ground nutmeg
  7. 1/4 tsp.ground cloves
  8. 3/4 tsp.salt
  9. 2large eggs
  10. 1 1/2 cupspumpkin puree
  11. 1/2 cupvegetable oil
  12. 1/4 cuporange juice
  13. 2/3 cupsemi-sweet chocolate chips

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Adjust your oven rack to the lower third position and preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x5" loaf pan and set aside. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and salt. Set this aside.

  2. 2

In a seperate, medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, pumpkin, vegetable oil and juice. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and use a rubber spatula to mix them together until just combined. Then fold in the chocolate chips.

  3. 3

Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Check the bread about halfway through bake time and if its browning too quickly, then loosely cover the bread pan with foil to prevent the top from getting too brown.

  4. 4

Allow the bread to cool in the pan on a wire rack. Once completely cooled to room temperature, remove the loaf and slice. Store the bread in a tightly sealed container.

I love to bake and to try out new recipes! I'm always on the lookout for simple dinners for busy weeknights. A lot of the recipes I post on here are ones I've found on Pinterest or from different bloggers, and that I've tried and really enjoyed, but I always reference to where I got the recipe from in the recipe description and the pictures are my own. If there's no source listed, then it's a rare recipe that I came up with. I have two wonderful kids and I hope to pass on my love of cooking and baking to them.
