A few years back , I had visited Hongkong. We had gone to have dinner at Landmark Hotel & the waiter there had suggested this dessert . It was the yummiest dessert that I had eaten . While searching for an unique recipe , I happened to land upon Mango Sago --- Hongkong Style . And to my delight, it was the same recipe that the waiter at Landmark had told us about . Hence I decided to make it . Hope you all like & comment on it too .
Mango Sago also known as Mango Bango is an exotic mango dessert which has gone viral for its taste , creamy texture & tropical flavors. It is a modern tropical Asian Dessert originating from Hongkong , invention of the restaurant Lei Garden in the 1980s . Since than it has become a sensation not only in Hongkong but other Asian countries too.
The key ingredient of this recipe is thick coconut milk .

Special Note : This is an ideal Fastting Recipe & can be served along side other fasting dishes or just as it is. It is a very filling dessert & one doesn't need anything along with it. Just 1 glass is enough to get you going the whole day.

Note : I have used store bought coconut milk. But you can use homemade also but remember to keep the coconut milk thick than only the consistency will be thick & creamy or it will become watery with no taste of coconut in it.

Sticky Rice Dessert Sticky Rice Dessert
My town's chinese restaurant serves a dessert that I'm addicted to. A green sweet sticky rice with fresh mango slices. I never knew how it was made, I thought it was flavored with vanilla. I took a friend to lunch there and had her try the dessert. She knew right away. Coconut milk, sugar, and food coloring. This is my version of it. TrailerParkBoils -
Vegan Chia Kheer (Indian Pudding Dessert) Vegan Chia Kheer (Indian Pudding Dessert)
Kheer is my favorite Indian dessert, but I wanted to make it so that people with lactose intolerance or vegans could also enjoy it.I don't think they sell coconut milk in cartons in Japan, so substitute with soy milk, if necessary. If you worry about your blood sugar levels, you can omit the raisins. Use liquid sweetener, since it is less likely to raise your blood sugar levels. If you're not worried about them, I recommend using maple syrup. Recipe by Maxerbear cookpad.japan -
Cold Dessert Chocolate Bavarois Cold Dessert Chocolate Bavarois
I often make chocolate bavarois, but I thought topping with chocolate syrup and cornflakes would be a fun and enjoyable texture, so I created this recipe! Since I didn't want to the chocolate syrup to be heavy, I put cream bavarois between the two chocolate layers. It looks nice and cool even from the appearance. Please remove from the bowl during Step 3 when the mixture starts to become thick! Please be careful not to thicken it too much. Umm Ali (Egyptian Dessert) Umm Ali (Egyptian Dessert)
#post15 - This is a traditional Egyptian dessert that is very popular in all Middle Eastern countries, especially during Ramadan. It is made of puff pastry / croissant and is almost similar to bread pudding, but without any eggs. It is very simple to prepare where all you need is to pour thickened milk over some shredded croissant, followed by some cream, coconut and chopped nuts. It is then baked till done. Can be enjoyed hot or cold. I prefer the latter one. So here is my version where I added some khoya and flavoured it with cardamom powder and some rose water instead of the usual vanilla essence that is used. #goldenapron Bethica Das -
Mango, Rum & Yogurt Dessert Mango, Rum & Yogurt Dessert
Your probably thinking to yourselves right about now, OMG Sophie another Mango recipe!! ufff hehehehe. I know, I know but I still have a few more Mangos to get through and well, why not share with you another wonderful recipe that has Mango in it. This one is so yummy because it has yogurt, honey and rum & blueberry topping. 🙂 Have I gotten your attention yet with this one? I hope so 🙂I have a really close friend who just the other day told me that she doesn’t like Mangos :(. It was so funny because I had just posted the Mango Smoothie and I was on the phone with her when she saw my post and right away voiced in a really hilarious way “I don’t like Mangos SORRYYY”. hehehe I was quite surprised because I have known her for more than 10 yrs. and this I think is the only topic we have never discussed…Tropical Fruit. 🙂I am sure that there are more people out there who do not care for this fruit, just like I don’t care for bananas..:) I think, no I know when I stopped eating bananas, I was very young and heading into the kitchen when I saw my mom who was about to feed my baby brother at the time take a banana and mush it all up (just remembering the site makes my face all cringy) and started to feed him. I’m not exactly sure what happened it could have been the smell of the banana or the site hmm. but that was the last time I ate one. 🙂 Till this day if I see someone eating a banana I walk the other way or go into another room..yep that’s what I do. 🙂Anyway, Foodzesty -
Gnocchi Dessert / Mango Dango Gnocchi Dessert / Mango Dango
A little, easy recipe :) I was looking at a recipe for dango and found that I could use silken tofu and sweet rice flour. I found a mango tofu dessert in my fridge and decided to try it out instead of regular silken tofu. The result is tender, lightly sweet mango flavoured dango! I didn't have bamboo sticks so I served them as dessert gnocchi ^^ Rébecca Brilvicas -

Mango Dessert Mango Dessert
My city has been quite hot these days. So I wanted to make something refreshing and cool in the afternoon. Mangoes are in season and I prefer to use arumanis or gedong mangoes for that. Any sweet mangoes that you can find in the market should be okay. You can also use juice sold in tetra paks or bottles. Angela Mertoyono
