I was the host and party planner for my grandma birthday party. And I wanted something that was sweet and a little tangy for the fish plates. I was trying to do something quick and easy because I was doing a lot of jobs for the party.

Somehow found myself buying dried hibiscus with no actual plan until I caught a cold and craved homemade medicinal juice. Medicinal for it’s benefits to the body including lowering blood pressure and prompting weight loss. But like all medicines, hibiscus juice should be taken in moderation - I only take two small cups a day as I’ve previously suffered prolonged periods of low blood pressure and most certainly not keen to go back there.#GoldenApron23

my new recipe

Many of us get morning sickness with pregnancy. I am writing this recipe for us gals, I have one thing on my mind - wishing for my stomach to settle down. I've been having a bad case of it girls, so I used my knowledge of medical, natural resources and produced temporary relief.

I developed this mix recipe more than a decade ago for my granddaughter Bree, who's a Chai lover. Recently, my granddaughter Dellaney requested the recipe, and I realized I'd never added it to my Cookpad collection. So here it is so all my grands and great-grands can always find and enjoy it. This makes about 6 cups of Chai mix. I've also used this mix, packaged cutely with a fun mug, for gifting.
