I have always enjoyed McDonalds fries but have been wanting to make my own fries at home with sea salt. After using many different potato slicers and different kinds of salts I have finally come up with a good well made homemade Fri.

Ingredients

10 mins
2 servings
  1. 7 mediumPotatoes
  2. 1preheated deep fryer set to 375 degrees
  3. 1 1/2 cupMexican blend shredded cheese
  4. 1sea salt grinder
  5. 1mixing bowl

Cooking Instructions

10 mins
  1. 1

    Rinse off potatoes

  2. 2

Cut 3 potatoes using slicer tool from bed bath beyond. I cut 3 potatoes per person eating.

  3. 3

Once potatoes are cut place in basket like shown in the picture. Make sure none of the fries are sticking together and that they are all facing different directions.

  4. 4

Place basket in preheated deep fryer set for 375°F, and cook for 8 minutes.

  5. 5

Once fries are cooked they should come out with a nice golden brown to dark brown look.

  6. 6

Remove fries from the deep fryer and let sit for 1 minute to drain excess oil.

  7. 7

Next place fries into big mixing bowl add in freshly ground sea salt & shake/flip.

  8. 8

Place fries on a plate and add one half cup of shredded Mexican blend cheese

  9. 9

Microwave the fries with the cheese for 30 seconds to help melt.
