Ingredients: 1 1/2 stick butter; 3/4 cup vodka; 1 jar of marinara. any will do.; 1 tbsp red crushed peppers; 1 cup heavy cream; 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese; 1 salt and pepper to taste; 1 lb pasta; 1 boiling water for pasta, salted well.

1 1/2 stickbutter
3/4 cupvodka
1 jarof marinara. any will do.
1 tbspred crushed peppers
1 cupheavy cream
1 cupshredded parmesan cheese
1salt and pepper to taste
1 lbpasta
1boiling water for pasta, salted well.

Cooking Instructions

40 mins

Melt butter and vodka in pot. cook out alcohol 2MIN.

add the jar of marinara and cook stirring occasionally on low med heat , about 20min.

Add the heavy cream. Cook ten more min stirring often. Remove from heat and add cheese.stir to mix well.

drain pasta when done and add to sauce. its up to you if u want to rinse the pasta.

Made this at work tonight for dinner special. Sold out by 8:00... will defiantly make again. Used Grey Goose it was perfect.

My wife loves her Penne a la Vodka. One of her favorite dishes. While she was pregnant, she sadly could not order this at restaurants. Yes, a lot of alcohol does burn off, but about 20-30% stays. Why take the chance, we thought?When her birthday rolled around, I decided to use a recipe that I had and just leave out the vodka. That way, she can still enjoy her favorite dish. She loved it so much and we still make it this way.You can always add the Vodka. In my original recipe, it was after the onions were sauteed.Enjoy!
