This is a very simple stuffed mushroom filled with a combination of cheeses to make them full flavored, creamy with some heat. The bacon is, well just delicious with the cheese and mushrooms! Serve as an appetizer or a side dish or even on a salad.

Stuffed mushrooms are a party staple for a reason. They are easy to prepare and the filling options are endless. Plus they’re fairly neat as far as finger foods go. The mushroom caps make a reasonably neutral vehicle for the filling and it’s easy to make vegetarian and vegan options.These stuffed mushrooms were inspired by the “Inn Boonsboro Trilogy” by Nora Roberts. Our heroine/chef/restaurateur Avery prepares stuffed mushroom for a New Year’s Eve party.Let me say just one thing… rinse your mushrooms. It’ll be fine. It’s so much easier than wiping them with a damp cloth (and more likely to actually remove all the dirt.) The brief amount of time they will be under water will not significantly affect them. As long as you don’t let them sit in water for a long time, they will not absorb enough water to matter. Make your life easier. Rinse the mushrooms.

This recipe is inspired by Lomghorn Steakhouse's White Cheddar Mushrooms. Its not quite the same, but a delicious rich appetizer or side dish!

This can be a appitizer, cutting each mushroom into fourths. They can be served as a lunch or dinner with potatos , rice or pasta. I served them here as a main dish salad which really worked ot great!

I just love stuffed mushrooms, but didn't want to overload on carbs during this particular low carb week, so I decided to use pork rinds instead of bread crumbs... And it worked like a charm!

Really simple to make and tastes yummy.

It's a go-to appetizer at so many restaurants, yet $10 for 5 mushroom caps just hurts the soul.These are similar, although I think better, and cheaper than any steak or seafood house.
