Cooking Instructions
- 1
COOK 3 CUPS OF WHITE RICE. There will be some extra, but this could be beneficial in case someone wants extra ;) once the rice is done, set it aside.
- 2
PREP THE SHRIMP. If your uncooked shrimp still has the tails, peel them off. Then, SEASON THE SHRIMP with onion powder, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Toss the shrimp around in a large bowl or closed container to make sure all the shrimp gets coated with the seasonings. Set that aside for now.
- 3
CHOP 3 GREEN ONIONS. These will be used as a topper for the dish. Set aside after.
- 4
MAKE THE SAUCE. In a small bowl, add 4 tbsp of low sodium soy sauce, 4 tbsp of honey, 2 tbsp of rice vinegar, 2 tbsp of water, 1 tsp of garlic powder, 1/2 tsp onion powder, and black pepper. Mix them all together and set aside.
- 5
On medium heat, add 1/2 a tablespoon of cooking oil to a pan. Any nonstick pan is fine. Once the pan is hot enough, add the seasoned shrimp to the pan and let that cook for about 5 minutes. Flip and stir the shrimp around the pan occasionally, but be vigilant as to not let the shrimp burn.
- 6
Once the shrimp is cooked, turn the heat down to a low setting. Push the shrimp to the edges of the pan to make a ring.
- 7
Put 3 large scoops of rice into a medium sized bowl and press it down to mold it into the shape of the bowl.
- 8
Once molded, gently plop the rice into the middle of the pan.
- 9
Take your sauce and drizzle it around, both over the rice and the shrimp. Prioritize drizzling the sauce over the shrimp, say 70% for the shrimp should be drizzled and 30% for the rice that should be drizzled.
- 10
Sprinkle corn all over the pan. Up to you whether you want it more on the rice or on the shrimp.
- 11
Sprinkle the green onions all over the pan, same gist as the corn.
- 12
Turn the heat off and serve and ENJOY!

I wanted to eat this as one dish.- This uses a lot of ingredients, so I think it will go more smoothly if you prepare them beforehand .- You can use milk if you do not have heavy cream. Add a bit more milk than the amount of cream in this recipe. Recipe by Run mama cookpad.japan -
