Ingredients

  1. 1 cupblack urad dal
  2. 1/2 cuprajmah
  3. 1medium onion chopped
  4. 2tomatoes fresh puree
  5. 2 teaspoonsand ginger garlic paste
  6. 1 teaspoongreen chillies chopped
  7. 1/2 teaspoonjeera
  8. 1 teaspoonhing
  9. 2,3cloves
  10. 2green cardamom
  11. 1black cardamom
  12. 1 inchcinemon stick
  13. 2bay leaf
  14. 2 pinchnutmeg powder
  15. 1/4 teaspoonturmeric powder
  16. 1/2coriander powder
  17. 1/2red chilli powder
  18. 2 teaspoonskasuri methi
  19. 2 teaspoonsciba dal makhani
  20. 1 tablespoonsdesi ghee
  21. Salt as required
  22. 2 tablespoonsfresh malai(fresh cream)
  23. 2 tablespoonsbutter

Cooking Instructions

    Soak rajmah and dal in water for 5_6 hours.add them in a pressure cooker.add as required water stir well.

    Cook for 7_8whistles on a high flame.

    Take a pan.heat oil and butter.add whole spices.saute for 2minutes become aroma.

    Add chopped onion saute for 2 minutes.then add ginger,garlic paste saute for a minute.add green chillies,tomatoes puree and stir well.add red chilli powder,nutmeg powder and spices mix it on a medium flame.

    Add boiled dal with a stock and as required warm water.simmer on a low flame for 10_15minutes.

    Add salt.once dal makhni begins thicken and creamy. Switch off the flame.now add crushed kasuri methi and ciba dal makhni masala stir well.

    Take a bowl serve dal makhni garnishing for fresh cream with nan,roti,rice.enjoyyy
