  2. 1/2 cupkidney beans
  3. 1/4 cupsplit black gram (urad dal)
  4. 2 teaspoonsginger green chili paste
  5. 1 teaspoongarlic paste
  6. 1large onion, finely chopped
  7. 1finely chopped tomato
  8. 4 tablespoonsoil
  9. 1/2 teaspooncumin seeds
  10. Salt to taste
  11. 1 teaspoonred chili powder
  12. 1/2 cuptomato puree
  13. 1 teaspooncoriander powder
  14. 1 teaspoonturmeric
  15. 1 teaspoondal fry masala
  16. 1/2 cupfresh cream
  17. 2 teaspoonsKashmiri red chili powder
  18. 3 tablespoonsbutter
  19. 1 teaspoonlemon juice
  20. 2 teaspoonschopped cilantro
  21. 1 cupbasmati rice
  22. 3 tablespoonsghee
  23. 1 teaspooncumin seeds
  24. 2 teaspoonschopped cilantro
  25. 1bay leaf and star anise

    First, wash the black gram, kidney beans, and split black gram thoroughly in a bowl and soak them in water for 5-6 hours. Now, in a pressure cooker, add water, salt, and tomato puree, and cook well. Let it whistle 4-5 times.

    Chop the onion and tomato. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds and whole red chili. Add green chili, ginger, and garlic paste, and mix well. Now add the onion and tomato, mix, and let it cook with salt.

    Now add all the spices mentioned above and mix well. Add the boiled black gram and kidney beans, mix well, and add water as needed. Let it boil. Stir in lemon juice and a teaspoon of yogurt. Add fresh cream and stir.

    To make the rice, heat water in a pan and add the soaked rice and salt. Let it cook. Once done, drain it in a colander and let it cool. Now, heat ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds, bay leaf, and star anise, and mix. Add cilantro and cooked rice, and mix. Jeera rice is ready.

    Now, heat butter in a pan, add Kashmiri red chili powder, mix, and add to the dal makhani. Mix well. Dal makhani is ready.

    Dal makhani and jeera rice are ready. Serve with paratha and salad. Garnish with cream.
