  1. 1 lbextra lean ground beef
  2. 1medium onion chopped
  3. 1small green bell pepper chopped
  4. 16 ounceskidney beans, undrained
  5. 14 1/2 ozdiced tomatoes, undrained
  6. 8 ouncestomato sauce
  7. 1/4 cupwater (1 ounce)
  8. 1 envelopereduced sodium taco seasoning
  9. 1 tablespoonchili powder
  10. 1 1/3 cupsinstant rice uncooked
  11. 1 cupshredded cheddar cheese

Cooking Instructions

    Brown ground beef and onion in nonstick skillet.

    Combine all ingredients in slow cooker, except rice and cheese.

    Cook on low for 4-8 hours.

    Stir in rice, cover, and cook until tender.

    Sprinkle with cheese.

  6. 6

    Cover and cook until cheese is melted.
