In this dish I didn't serve with so much broth , because I cook to hot and my husband and daughters can't handle it because to spicy , and for me this dish not hot enough 🤣, and of course I put extra chilli sambal on my dish 😍

Ingredients

  1. 3 tablespoonolive oil
  2. 1onion, sliced
  3. 4garlic cloves
  4. 4spring onions
  5. 3large red chilli, deseeded
  6. 3 tablespoonhot been sauce
  7. 3tomatoes, cut into wedges
  8. 2 tablespoonbrown sugar
  9. 1/4 cupdark soy sauce
  10. 1/2 cupsoy sauce
  11. 1/2 cupcooking chinese cooking wine
  12. 2star anise
  13. 1 kgbeef chuck, cut into roughly 4 cm cubes
  14. 3 cupsbeef stock
  15. 2small bunches of bok choy, halved and quickly blanched in boil
  16. 200 gramcooked egg noodles
  17. to tasteSalt and sugar
  18. Coriander or spring onions or coriander to serve

Cooking Instructions

    Heat the oil in the pot over medium-high heat. Add the onion, garlic, spring onions and chillies. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes or until the onions have softened but not coloured.
    Add the hot been sauce and stir-fry for another minute.

    Then stir through the tomatoes and the brown sugar. Now add the dark soy sauce, soy sauce, Chinese wine and the star anise. Add the beef and mix to combine. Add the beef stock and 2 cups of water. Mix to combine. And cook about 2 hours or more.

    After couple hours, and the meet are cook and tender, then taste the soup.
    Divide the noodles among serving bowls. Top with bok choy and chunks of beef. Ladle over the soup. And sprinkle parsley or spring onions or coriander on the top and serve.
