Ingredients

  1. 1 cupmix grains includes tuvar dal,urad dal, mansoor dal,
  2. 1/4 cupporridge
  3. 1/4 cupmoong dal
  4. 1onion
  5. 1tomato
  6. 4-5garlic cloves
  7. 2green chillies
  8. 2 tbspchopped green coriander
  9. 1 inch ginger
  10. 1 tspcumin seeds
  11. 1 tspmustard seeds
  12. Pinchasafoetida
  13. 1 tspturmeric powder
  14. To tasteSalt
  15. 2 tbspoil

Cooking Instructions

    Wash and soak all mix grain for 10 mins.

    Heat oil in a cooker add cumin seeds and mustard seeds when it starts to crackle, add asafoetida, chopped ginger, garlic,onions,green chillies.

    Saute all above-mentioned ingredients now add turmeric powder and salt and add the mix grains add at least 4 cups of water and close the cooker for 2 whistles

    Open and healthy khichdi is ready keep the consistency accordingly garnish with chopped tomatoes, green coriander and lime juice,enjoy with fresh curd.
