A whole new dimension given to the famous Dessert from Korea- The Gotgamssam. But in this particular recipe, i gave a twist to this original Dessert/snack by freezing the fresh fruit itself and not the semi dried one as used in the original recipe. Try it out for an amazingly new taste par excellence. The original recipe is also on my profile here uploaded long back. You can check it out guys. And this innovative one is no less in terms of taste and texture. Absolutely stunning in looks as well as tastes amazing with a lovely texture. Let's get down to the actual preparations straight away.
Happy Freezing!

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Wash and cut the Persimmons from the center taking care not to cut into 2 parts.
- 2
Scoop out some flesh from the fruit so that it is easier to roll. Arrange the Walnuts about 3 of them as seen in the picture. In each of the Persimmon, place one whole Walnut, either whole or halved.
- 3
Next is to roll them in a plastic sheet very carefully.
- 4
Pop in the freezer for about 6 to 7 hours and enjoy it. This is how it looks after freezing. Isn't it wonderful? Even the taste is heavenly. It tastes so very good and melts in your mouth just like a rich ice-cream.
- 5
Slice them into 1/3 rd inch pieces and serve cold to family and guests.
- 6
If you want to store them, keep them in the freezer and can come handy in serving any unexpected guests at home. Just perfect with a cup of coffee too.

Tofu with Walnuts, Mentaiko Spicy Pollack Roe and Cream Cheese Tofu with Walnuts, Mentaiko Spicy Pollack Roe and Cream Cheese
This is one of the ways I like to eat tofu. The most important tip is to really press out the excess water from the tofu very well! If you have the time, press the tofu in the refrigerator for a while. If you make this dish in advance, the shiso leaf will turn brown, so put it on top of the tofu mixture just before serving instead. The cream cheese coating will get a bit hard too in the refrigerator but will still taste good. For 3-4 servings. Recipe by putimiko cookpad.japan -

Persimmons Rolled Up with Yuzu Peel Persimmons Rolled Up with Yuzu Peel
Dried persimmons are a gift from heaven made by the sun, the wind, and by people. They're a winter provision made by our entire family at the end of the year.We roll some of them up with yuzu and enjoy them at New Year's as a Japanese sweet. The rest we continue to let hang in the cold wind, rub them with our fingertips, and wait for the white powder of crystallized sugar to form on them.Roll up the yuzu peel in the persimmons while they are still fairly soft. Handy Frozen Tempura Crumbs and Young Green Scallions Handy Frozen Tempura Crumbs and Young Green Scallions
I always have these tempura crumbs and scallions in the freezer, just like the abura-age.I thought it would be handy to have a mix of these two ingredients on hand to use any time, so I tried freezing them.Instead of tempura crumbs, you can use abura-age (deep fried tofu).I recommend using the soft green inner core of the scallion as is, rather than freezing it.If you freeze scallions as is, they will become soft and dark green, like they've been cooked, when you thaw them. I may be a healthy eating fanatic, but I just can't deny the fact that I have a huge sweet tooth. However, who says that "healthy eating" means no dessert? No one ever, that's who! Simmered Gomoku (Five-Ingredient) "Kinchaku" Pouches Stuffed with Tofu and Ground Chicken Simmered Gomoku (Five-Ingredient) "Kinchaku" Pouches Stuffed with Tofu and Ground Chicken
I wanted to create a mild-tasting dish like the kind they serve in small izakayas or small Japanese restaurants.Since this dish was created as a drinking appetizer, it has a mild taste. Adjust the seasoning to taste by adding dashi stock. The texture is quite firm (so that it's easy for children to eat). If you prefer it to be fluffier, increase the amount of tofu, and reduce the amount of ground meat. Recipe by (*me-gu*) cookpad.japan -
White Chocolate Daifuku with Walnuts and Kinako White Chocolate Daifuku with Walnuts and Kinako
I thought of this recipe for a sweets contest using walnuts. I knew that mochi with walnuts is delicious, but I wanted to make this combination even more delicious.Boiling the heavy cream will cause it to separate, so do not let it boil.Be quick after Step 10, as it dries out quickly!! If you can't shape the daifuku well, use plastic wrap. It's better to avoid reheating these in the microwave even they have hardened...it may be better to use mizuame instead of sugar water.
