Ingredients

30 minutes
5-6 servings
  1. 250 gmBesan (gram flour)
  2. 1onion sliced
  3. 1capsicum chopped
  4. 1tomato chopped
  5. 1-2green chilli chopped
  6. 1/2 tspMustard seeds
  7. 1 pinchasafoetida
  8. 2 tspCurry leaves
  9. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  10. 1/2 tspKashmiri Red chilli powder
  11. 1/2 tspgaram masala
  12. to taste Salt
  13. 2 tbspOil

Cooking Instructions

    In a wok heat oil. Add mustard seeds when it splutter add Asafoetida, green chilli and onion. Saute it for 3-4 minutes. Add capsicum, Saute for 2-3 minutes. Add tomato. Mix all things well.

    Add besan in it. Roast it on low medium flame for 5 minutes, or until the besan turns aromatic.

    Add all the spices in it. Mix it well.

    Now add 2.5 cup water. Stir continuesly, make sure there are no lumps cover and simmer for 10 minutes, or until the besan is cooked completely.

    Turn off the flame. Transfer it in a bowl. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
