So many variations can be done with Cabbage.Like can be used in making soups,pulao,fried rice,noodles,salads, sabzi etc
In making sabzi also everyone has his or her own style of cooking.
Mixed vegetable using cabbage, carrots, potatoes, peas,capsicum, tomato or cabbage aloo or cabbage capsicum.
Can be made easily and as per the ingredients available at home and as per your choice.
I have made cabbage and capsicum sabzi.Its really tasty and quick. Can be eaten with roti or dal rice.
It is also called cabbage sambharo

Ingredients

15 to 16 minute
3 to 4 servings
  1. 500 gramscabbage
  2. 1capsicum
  3. 2 tablespoonoil or as required
  4. 2-3green chilies
  5. 1 inchginger
  6. as per tasteSalt
  7. 2 pinchasafoetida
  8. 1 teaspoonred chilli powder
  9. 1/4 teaspoonturmeric powder
  10. 2-3 pinchsugar
  11. as per tasteLemon juice
  12. 2green chillies
  13. as required few fresh coriander leaves for garnishing

Cooking Instructions

    First wash properly cabbage and capsicum nicely. Cut it in to small size and wash it in a running water.Then place both in colander and let the water rinse properly.

    Take a kadhai,add oil,heat well, Add mustard seeds, as it splutters add,asafoetida.

    Then add whole green chilies and thinly sliced ginger. Fry it for few seconds then add cabbage and capsicum. Keep the gas flame high and saute for 2 to 3 minutes.

    Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, sugar.Mix it all well.

    Let it all cook on low heat,till the cabbage and capsicum are cooked well. Dont over cook it keep it little crunchy.

    Once the sabzi is cooked properly,add lemon juice and switch off the gas flame.

    Garnish with fresh coriander and green chilies.

    Serve hot along with dal rice or chapati.
