Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 200 gmdates or khajur without seed
  2. 200 gmanjir or fig
  3. 2 tbspalmond chopped
  4. 2 tbspwalnut chopped
  5. 2 tbsppista chopped
  6. 1/4 cupdesiccated coconut
  7. 1 tspgreen cardamom powder
  8. 1 tbspghee

Cooking Instructions

    In a mixer grinder put anjir and khajur and grind to a semi paste.

    Heat ghee in a pan. Add the paste in it. Cook for 3-4 minutes. Now add desiccated coconut, cardamom powder, few chopped almond and walnut. Cook till it become thick or when the mixture separate from the pan. Switch off the flame and let it cool.

    Take a Modak shaped mould and apply ghee on it. Put the mixture in the mould. Stuff some chopped almonds and walnut in the centre.

    Close the mould, press it to give perfect shape of a Modak. As shown in the picture. Garnish with chopped chopped pistachio. Then serve it to Lord Ganesha.
