Sugar Free Anjir khajur Modak
A quick and easy Modak recipe specially made for the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. A popular sweet dish of Maharashtra and favourite of Lord Ganesha.

Cooking Instructions

In a mixer grinder put anjir and khajur and grind to a semi paste.

Heat ghee in a pan. Add the paste in it. Cook for 3-4 minutes. Now add desiccated coconut, cardamom powder, few chopped almond and walnut. Cook till it become thick or when the mixture separate from the pan. Switch off the flame and let it cool.

Take a Modak shaped mould and apply ghee on it. Put the mixture in the mould. Stuff some chopped almonds and walnut in the centre.

Close the mould, press it to give perfect shape of a Modak. As shown in the picture. Garnish with chopped chopped pistachio. Then serve it to Lord Ganesha.
