Ingredients

30 min
12 small roti
  1. 1/2 cupjowar flour
  2. 1/4 cupbajra flour
  3. 1/4 cupsattu
  4. 1/4 cuprice flour
  5. 2 tbspfinely chopped onion
  6. 1 tspginger paste
  7. 1 tspgarlic paste
  8. 1 tspgreen chilli paste
  9. 2 tbspcoriander leaves
  10. 1/2 tspcarom seeds
  11. 1 tbspoil
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Ghee or oil to roast

Cooking Instructions

30 min
  1. 1

Mix all the flours in a bowl and add the other ingredients to it. Now stat making a dough with warm water. Keep the dough of medium consistency. Cover and keep it for 15 minutes.

  2. 2

Divide the dough into 12 equal portions. Now take one portion and roll it into a thin circle using rice flour. You can use a baking paper or a plastic to roll the roti. This dough does not have wheat flour so it is not sticky at all and it becomes difficult to roll. So it is better to roll small rotis instead of larger rotis.

  3. 3

Put the roti on a medium hot pan and roast it until it is light pink on one side. Now flip it and roast it again until light pink on the other side. Now apply ghee or oil and roast it.

  4. 4

Put prepared roti on a wire rack. Make all the rotis in the same way.

  5. 5

Multigrain masala roti can be served with pickle for breakfast or it can be served with dal, subji and other things in the main meal.
