Ingredients

45 minutes
3 servings
  1. 1onion sliced roughly
  2. 1/2 tspmustard seeds
  3. 1tomato chopped
  4. 1 tspcumin seeds
  5. As Per Tastesalt
  6. fewcurry leaves
  7. 1 pinchhing
  8. 1 tbspTamarind pulp
  9. 2red chillies
  10. 2 tspsambar powder
  11. 1chopped carrot
  12. 1 cupbeans chopped length wise
  13. 1 1/2 tbspbesan/chikpea flour
  14. 2 tbspghee
  15. 1small piece jaggery

Cooking Instructions

    Heat up ghee in a deep saucepan, add mustard, and cumin seeds, let it splutter, add red chilies, curry leaves, and onions, and saute it until onions turn into transparent.

    Add in chopped veggies & chopped tomatoes, further add all spice powders,hing, add water and salt.. cover the lid let it boil until veggies get cooked.

    Now add tamarind pulp, jaggery, and chopped coriander leaves, add besan stir well without lumps.. add water and adjust the consistency, cover the lid cook for 10 more minutes and you are done with your delicious sambar without dal.. enjoy with Idli/vada/rice.
