Sambhar dal

Cooking Instructions

Put toor in a mixing bowl adding water, wash two or three times then soaked it for half an hour in the mixing bowl

Then put it in the pressure cooker adding water and salt after heating give two or three cities then turn off the flame and keep aside

Now take a pan heat oil put all vegetables into the pan and saute it for few minutes put turmeric powder salt in the pan now add little water for half boiling the veggies.

Next add tamarind pulp mix well and cover with lid for few minutes then add toor dal to the Pan give it a nice mix add required hot water to the pan

Now add red chilli powder black pepper powder Sambhar masala to the pan and keep stirring until nice aroma comes out from the dal

Now take another small pan for tempering the dal heat oil in it add mustard seeds, jeera, dry red chilli hing and curry leaves keep stirring

Now put it in the dal mix well now sambhar dal is ready serve it with rice or dosa or idli.
