Ingredients

15 miniutes
  1. 2 cupsbasmati rice
  2. 2bay leaves
  3. 1black cardamom
  4. 4-5blackpepper corns
  5. 4cloves
  6. 1 tspJeera /cumin seeds
  7. 2Green cardamoms
  8. 250 gmspaneer
  9. 2 large onions chopped finely
  10. 2 large tomatoes pureed
  11. 1/2 cupcurds
  12. As Per RequiredJuice of half lemon
  13. 1/4 cup oil
  14. 1 tbspginger garlic paste
  15. 2 tspred chilli powder
  16. 1 tbspdhania powder
  17. 1 tspgaram masala powder
  18. 1/4 tsphaldi powder
  19. 1 tspjeera powder
  20. 1 tspkitchen king masala
  21. 2 tspkasori methi crushed
  22. 1/2 cupchopped coriander & mint leaves
  23. 1/2 cupfried onions
  24. As requiredSaffron and green colour
  25. 1 tsprose water
  26. 1 tspkewra water
  27. as per tasteSalt

Cooking Instructions

    Wash and soak the rice for 30 mins. In a large pot boil 7 cups of water, when the water starts boiling add bay leaves, jeera, cloves, black peppercorns, black cardamom, green cardamom, and salt, then add rice and cook till its 3/4 done, strain and keep it aside.

    Cut paneer into cubes and shallow fry them. Keep aside. Heat oil in a Kadai add finely chopped onions and fry till light golden in colour add ginger garlic paste and saute for a few mins, add haldi PD, dhania PD,jeera PD, red chili PD, kitchen king masala, stir fy the masala for a few mins, then add pureed tomatoes cook till the raw smell is gone add curds mix well and cook till the masala leaves oil from sides

    Now add some chopped mint and coriander leaves,kasori methi, salt and garam masala pd cook for a few mins add 1/4 cup of water to make a thick gravy. Now add the fried paneer cubes mix gently cover and cook for 2 mins on medium flame. Off the flame

    Place the cooked rice on the paneer gravy and sprinkle saffron and green colour on it. Then spread the fried onions, sprinkle rose and kewra water, and some chopped coriander leaves

    Cover the kadai with aluminium foil and then put the lid. Heat a tawa and place the kadai on it on high flame for 5 mins then on low flame for 10 mins. Ready to serve. Serve with raita.
