I was craving for pasta with cream sauce.

There would be no mistakes as long as you follow the 1:1 ratio of milk to cream. For 2 servings. Recipe by uzukaji

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 2portions Pasta
  2. 10 gramsButter
  3. 1Soup stock cube
  4. 2 tspGrated cheese
  5. 1Black pepper
  6. 100 mlMilk
  7. 100 mlHeavy cream
  8. 3to 4 slices Bacon
  9. 1handful Shimeji mushrooms

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Add salt to a decent amount of hot water and cook the pasta. Remove the hard stem from the shimeji mushrooms and tear apart. Slice the bacon into 1cm strips.

  2. 2

Add butter to a pan, and sauté the bacon and mushroom. Season with black pepper.

  3. 3

When it's cooked, add 1/2 ladle of cooking water from the pasta. Break up and add a soup stock cube.

  4. 4

Turn the heat down, and add milk and cream. When the edges start to bubble, add the cheese.

  5. 5

Taste as you add black pepper. When you're satisfied with the taste, turn the heat off. Mix with cooked pasta and voila!

  6. 6

Add sprinkles of coarsely ground pepper or drizzle on olive oil if you'd like!
