Ingredients

  1. 1 cupRajma
  2. 1Bay Leaf
  3. 1/2 tspCumin seeds
  4. 1dry red chilli, 1 tsp Ginger
  5. 1/2 tspTurmeric powder
  6. 1 tspCoriander powder
  7. Salt as required
  8. 2 tbspMustard Oil
  9. 1medium Tomato
  10. 1 tspKasuri Methi
  11. 1/2 tspGaram masala powder
  12. 1/2 tspRed chilli powder

Cooking Instructions

    Take overnight soaked Rajma and pressure cook till Rajma softens.

    Assemble ingredients, make a medium slurry of the mentioned Masalas.

    In moderately heated pan add oil, allow to heat, add bay leaf + dry red chilli + cumin seeds + ginger and allow to crackle.

    Then add chopped tomato and sauté for around 2 minutes,
    Add masala slurry and sauté for around 3 minutes
    Add boiled Rajma and cook for 5-6 minutes, lastly add Kasuri Methi + Garam masala and mix well. Add water as per gravy preference.
    Cook further for 3-4 minutes and dish is done.

    Serve with hot steamed Rice for a complete nutrition.
