Ingredients

  1. 150 grice flour
  2. 50 mllukewarm water
  3. 1/4 tspsalt
  4. 500 mlmilk
  5. 150 mldate palm jaggery
  6. vegetable oil for greasing

    Mix rice flour, salt & water together with a spoon or spatula. The thickness of the batter would be like crepe batter. Slightly thick to cover the back of a spoon and flowy.
    Cover and rest it for 30 minutes.

    Take an appam pan and grease it, stir batter and pour 1½ tablespoon in each cup. Cover pan and cook for about 8 minutes. Uncover pan and remove pitha.Take out and keep in a covered pan to keep it hot and moist.

    Boil 500 ml of full-fat milk on low flame for 15 minutes. Add 2-3 cardamom. Switch off and take it off the flame. Add some Datepalm jaggery syrup to it.Mix well.

    Next place the hot pithas in this thickened sweetened milk. Rest for 2-3 hours for them to soak then serve.
