I simplified my favorite sukiyaki's finishing touch with fewer ingredients. You can enjoy the taste even without eating sukiyaki (haha).

Ingredients

Serves 2 servings
  1. 2 packscooked udon noodles
  2. 3 1/2 oz (100 grams)thinly sliced pork (or beef)
  3. 1 stalkgreen onion
  4. as neededSesame oil,
  5. 2 1/2 tablespoonssoy sauce
  6. 2 tablespoonscooking sake
  7. 2 tablespoonsmirin
  8. 2 tablespoonssugar
  9. 2egg yolks or soft-boiled eggs

Cooking Instructions

    Cut the pork into bite-sized pieces and slice the green onion diagonally.

    Heat sesame oil in a frying pan, stir-fry the pork until its color changes, then add the green onion and stir-fry.

    Add sake, soy sauce, sugar, and mirin to the pan from step 2, and simmer for a bit.

    Mix the udon noodles into step 3 to absorb the flavors.

    Serve on a plate, top with egg yolk, and it's ready.
