Ingredients

2 serves
  1. 1 cupUrad dal
  2. 1 litrewater to soak the dal
  3. 3green chillies
  4. 1 inchginger
  5. 1 tspsalt
  6. Oil for frying
  7. as neededTomato ketchup

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Soak the Urad Dal for 3-4 hours.
    Discard the water and grind in a fine paste together with green chillies, ginger and little water.
    Remove in the bowl and beat with electric bitter till light and fluffy.
    Add salt and mix thoroughly.

    Heat the oil.
    Fry the vada in light golden colour and transfer on kitchen paper to absorb extra oil.

    Vadas are ready.
    Serve in a dish with tomato ketchup or any other chutney.
    Enjoy soft and spongy Urad Dal Vada.
