Ingredients

Prep time -10 mins, Cooking time -20 mins

  1. 100 gmsGobindobhog rice
  2. 1 tspturmeric powder
  3. 2 Tbspsalt
  4. 1bay leaf
  5. 4-5green cardamoms
  6. 2-4cloves
  7. 1cinnamon stick
  8. 3-5 Tbspraisins
  9. 4-5 Tbspghee
  10. 10 gmssugar
  11. Serve with begun Bhaaja

Cooking Instructions

Prep time -10 mins, Cooking time -20 mins

    Soak washed Gobindobhog rice for 30 mins, soak raisins for 10 mins.

    In a wok heat ghee, fry the raisins for 3 seconds, set aside raisins and ghee.

    In the same wok add 6 cups water, bring it to boil, add salt, add bay leaf, cloves, green cardamom, cinnamon stick and turmeric powder, mix

    When it’s boiling add drained rice and let the rice cook 90%, drain the rice, keep it covered.

    In a big bowl layer 3 Tbsp rice, add 3-4 raisins, add 1 Tbsp sugar, add 1 Tbsp ghee, make the second layer like the first, cover for 10 mins.

    Take a spoon and mix the Pulao, cover for 5 mins

  7. 7

    Serve with Begun Bhaaja
