Ingredients

  1. 500 gramsraw mango pieces
  2. 500 gramsstring candy sugar
  3. 5 cloves
  4. 5 cardamom pods
  5. 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  6. 7-8 saffron strands

    Wash mangoes, peel and cut into thick pieces.

    In a big vessel add water and boil.Keep colander into vessel and steam mangoes for five minutes.Cool.

    Make powder of string candy sugar.

  4. 4

    Mix together sugar and mango pieces.Boil upto one thread consistency.Add cardamom powder,pods, saffron strands and cloves.Bring one boil and turn off the gas.

    Cool and store in a dry glass bottle.
