"Mayo” in Corn mayo toast is short for “mayonnaise.” Chunky corn combined with sweet mayonnaise tastes good. I grew up eating this when I was little.
The corn mayo toast sold at convenience stores is delicious. If you ever have the chance to visit Japan, you should definitely try it—they sell it at 7-Eleven.

Ingredients

10min
  1. Your favorite bread (1 slice per serving)
  2. Corn can (about 2–3 tablespoons)
  3. Mayonnaise (1–2 tablespoons, adjust to taste)
  4. Shredded Cheese (optional): as desired
  5. Blackpepper

Cooking Instructions

10min
  1. 1

Take a slice of your favorite bread and set it aside. I prefer white milk/butter bread. Drain the canned corn well. In a small bowl, combine the corn kernels with mayonnaise and stir together.

  2. 2

Use a spoon to make a small hollow in the center of the bread. First, place the cheese in the hollow, then spoon the corn and mayonnaise mixture on top.

  3. 3

Place the bread in a toaster oven. Toast until the cheese is melted (about 5–10 minutes, depending on your toaster). Feel free to sprinkle a little pepper or additional mayonnaise.
