1 Pot Soy Cod with Corn

I love throwing together food into the rice cooker and letting the flavors meld together into a low-effort, high-reward meal. I hope you enjoy this!
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Wash rice and add in water to the rice cooker.
- 2
Gather green onion and corn (and other optional, fast-cooking ingredients). Add into rice cooker pot with water.
- 3
Add frozen cod. Do NOT defrost fish, otherwise it could overcook. (PS. I love to source ethical fish wherever I can!)
- 4
Add soysauce, oil, and cooking wine. I like to do a circle along the circumfrence of the rice cooker. This seasoning will be soaked up by the fish, rice, and vegetables.
- 5
Mix the rice cooker pot until evenly dispersed and cook on "white rice" setting for about 20-25 minutes.
- 6
After the rice cooker program is finished, plate with optional garnishes.
- 7
Top with optional sesame oil and fresh green onion and enjoy!

Pan-Fried Cod with Butter Soy Sauce Pan-Fried Cod with Butter Soy Sauce
I love this combination of flavors for all kinds of seafood, including squid. My mother used to make this for me when I was growing up.Make sure to pan fry it until golden brown, then flip over.Cod falls apart easily when cooked, so use a spatula. If the fish is very thick, put a lid on the pan to make sure it cooks through. You can use any kind of fish you like, but if you use salted salmon or other salty fish, reduce the amount of soy sauce. For 2 servings. Recipe by Chiton cookpad.japan -

Browned Corn with Butter and Soy Sauce Browned Corn with Butter and Soy Sauce
I've always loved corn, but there are times when I'm hit by sudden cravings for butter and soy sauce.Try not to scorch the kernels, but cook them until some of the corn browns, as seen in the main photo.I used pre-sliced butter (1 slice = 8 g).Adjust how much you brown the corn or the amount used to suit your tastes. Rice Cooked with Corn Rice Cooked with Corn
My in-laws (who are farmers) send us tons of corn on the cob every year.Since it's fresh and in season, it tastes delicious when boiled and seasoned simply with salt, but we always look forward to cooking it with rice. The cobs add really good flavor to rice when cooked together. My younger sister, who is a very good cook, taught me that trick.Use as much or as little butter as you want! Of course, it also tastes great without any butter at all. Creamed Corn Hot Pot Creamed Corn Hot Pot
I bought a "carbonara hot pot" pre-made mix the other day. It didn't taste the way I thought it would, but the kids loved the mild, eggy flavor. So this time I made a creamed corn carbonara style hot pot. It's different from the commercial hot pot mix we tried, but they liked this version better, so I wrote down the recipe.By adding white miso and cream cheese the soup becomes creamier. Please add potatoes, Chinese cabbage, or whatever you like. Seafood (I recommend clams) adds a lot of umami and are delicious. If you want to add more vegetables, add about 200 ml of water and 1 teaspoon of soup stock. Recipe by miyuki12 cookpad.japan
