Ingredients

  1. 3 Poundspork roast (shoulder or loin)
  2. 1/3 CupHoisin sauce
  3. 2 Tablespoonsoyster sauce
  4. 1 Tablespoonsoy sauce dark
  5. 2 Tablespoonshoney
  6. 3 Tablespoonsfive spice Chinese
  7. 1/2 Tablespooncayenne pepper
  8. 1 Cupwater

Cooking Instructions

    Place pork roast in slow cooker

  2. 2

    Mix Hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, honey, Chinese five spice, and cayenne pepper in a bowl. Add mixture to the slow cooker.

    Mix in water. Make sure the roast is not entirely submerged.

  4. 4

    Cook for 10 hours, turning roast a few times so the outside crisps slightly on all sides.

  5. 5

    Pull roast apart with two forks until it looks shredded.

  6. 6

    Taste. Add more spices if needed.

  7. 7

    Cook for 2 more hours on low heat.
