Steps

wash the tomatoes and peppers really good. In a 2 quart sauce pan put the tomatoes & peppers in pan , cover with water & cook for about 30 to 40 minutes

set tomatoes & peppers aside & let it cool off

peel clove of garlic & put in mortar & grind with a pinch of salt, after garlic is like a paste consistency put one jalapeño in mortar & grind until a paste then add the other jalapeño and do the same.

after the tomatoes are cooled put in mortar and do the same as with the peppers. only one at a time, if mortar is to full transfer to a bowl big enough to fit all the salsa. continue to grind the tomatoes until all are grinded into a smooth consistency

add pinch of black pepper and stir then taste, reseason with salt to your taste

if you're going with the salsa variation add the cilantro & chopped onion as the last step then mix well
