Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Wash and cut tofu in small cubes. Deep fry in oil until crunchy and golden brown. You may want to add chili powder on the tofu before frying in case you want it more spicy. Drain in paper towel and set aside.

  2. 2

Slice onions into thin slices. Chop garlic and slice chillies into thin strips. You may add as much chillies as you like. Wash the black bean twice before using to rinse off too much salt.

  4. 4

Add blackbeans when the onions started to caramelize. Add oyster sauce and 2-3 tbsp water and simmer for 5 mins until a smooth consistency is achieved.

  5. 5

Remove from fire and toss fried tofu. Add chili flakes or chopped onion leeks before serving.
