A breakfast take on Petit Farcis
I decided to put an egg in a tomato and bake it... why not?!
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- 2
Cut the large tomato in half. Core out the inside of each half of the tomato so they are like little cups and there is room for the egg.
- 3
Place the tomato halves on a baking sheet and crack one egg per tomato half into the tomato.
- 4
Bake for about 15 mins until the egg white becomes nearly firm.
- 5
Pull out of the oven and sprinkle with mozzarella, salt, pepper, and basil. The mozzarella will melt since they are hot.

Poached eggs on sourdough Poached eggs on sourdough
Had never had poached eggs before, and I love egg on toast. I had a loaf of sourdough bread and decided to put them on that. After seasoning, it was one of the best egg dishes I've ever put in my mouth. Since then, I've gotten better at poaching eggs, the ones pictured are too runny. Nathan -

Sig's Potato Cake Pizza Sig's Potato Cake Pizza
Had a potato cake in mind for lunch and decided to bake it in oven rather than in a pan. I covered it with pizza style toppings, except passata as this would make it soggy. Pesto could work though may be spread on top of the tomato. #myfavouriterecipes #mycookbook Sigrun -

Slow Cooker Eggplant Parmesan Slow Cooker Eggplant Parmesan
I have a love-hate relationship with Eggplant. If it is not done right, then will not eat it. No matter who cooks it. But if it is done right, then it is a work of art. When we got our slow cooker last October, I was determined to one day try to make eggplant in it. I could not find a recipe that caught my eye, so I went out on a limb to try to come up with my own recipe. This recipe I concocted is a thing of beauty.I hope that you enjoy as much as we did. But be forewarned; as with most slow cooker recipes, this makes a lot!Enjoy! J.A.B. -
Tomato Cottage Muffin Tomato Cottage Muffin
My sister-in-law gave me most of this recipe and I added the cheddar cheese and the bacon. It was good before I did it and now I think it is better, just not as healthy. Don't tell anyone, but I don't like cottage cheese. I like it like this, though.Allen

Tuna and Spinach Quiche Made In A Toaster Oven Tuna and Spinach Quiche Made In A Toaster Oven
I wanted to eat a quiche, so I used canned tuna and vegetables I had in stock, and cooked it in the toaster oven in about 15 minutes...it was easy. There's no need to make a pie crust. Just mix, pour into a mold and bake. An easy recipe from our family.Cheese is mixed in with the egg and other ingredients, so it's very well flavored and filling. The tuna will dry out if you stir fry it with the vegetables, so add it later.I recommend adding mushrooms like shimeji also. For 2 servings. Recipe by Ritorutatsugashira cookpad.japan -
Margherita Fritters: Batter-fried Tomato & Mozzarella Rings Margherita Fritters: Batter-fried Tomato & Mozzarella Rings
Incidentally, when it comes to pizza, I like nothing more than the simple yet gorgeous Margherita. Garlic, tomatoes, basil and Mozzarella - enough to make those salivary glands work overtime. So I have taken these basic ingredients of the delightful Margherita and turned them into fritters with a crisp, egg-y coating. The result is delicious. It takes little time to make. You could easily whip up a few for your guests this Diwali. The given ingredients yield about 15-16 fritters.PS. If you do not want to use eggs you could make a batter using cornflour and rice flour.More at: http://www.allthatsdelicious.com/margherita-fritters-batter-fried-tomato-mozzarella-rings-recipe Lets Talk Food -
